We care about our world and we do our best to contribute in a positive way
to this beautiful country
We do this in our small way by...
1. Reycyling as much raw material and used materials as possible..
2.The bogwood we use is a recycled material and left on the headlands of bogs to naturtally decay over time.
3. We never take bogwood out of the bog without the required permission.
4. We use natural beeswax to finish our sculptures.
5. The packing in our boxes is recycled papaer and we have been using this material for the last 20 years.
6. Our boxes are plywood and made in our own workshop.
We are happy to have the box returned to us to recyle afterwards and we give €5 off your next order.
However our boxes are great for using as storage for precious items and we have wonderful stories where peole have found great uses of our boxes over time.
7.The hessian bags in our packaging has been sourced from the same local company for the last 20 years as the jute industry was local to the midlands for 100's of years.
8. In our own office we recycle as many components and materials as possible.
9. In the refurbishment of our studio we recyled all our old furnture and display units to minimise the waste to the environment.
Our paints are eco friendly and lime based.
10. We source materials as kind to the environment as possible.
11. We used recycled materials in our communication materials.
12. Our packing boxes are often reused a number of times so please understand if you get a used cardboard box as part of of your delivery.
13. We participate in our locally community to make it a better place to live and we are actively taking part in reycling programmes
within our village.
14. Our village has recently been nominated as an eco village by our local authority on account of the local communities endeavours to
recycle and think and act in a sustainable way.
We are glad to lead and contribute to this great project and work in our community.
15. Craft work made locally like our work has low carbon foot print as it is made by hand.
